Language Arts
The elementary language arts program includes instruction in the areas of phonics/decoding, vocabulary strategies, reading fluency, reading comprehension, writing/grammar, and spelling. Our teachers use a variety of scientifically based resources to ensure that students receive instruction aligned to the adopted state academic standards.

Pivot (2-6) and mClass (K-1) assessments are administered to students three times a year. These ongoing diagnostic assessments provide data to guide instruction and meet individual student needs.

Teachers use digital resources such as iXL, Reading Eggs, and Accelerated Reader to supplement the language arts curriculum.

Our Language Arts curriculum is aligned with Indiana's State Standards.
