Rhonda Frank

Mrs. Rhonda Frank has been teaching for 17 years and joined Dillsboro Elementary School as a 2nd grade teacher for the 2015-16 school year. She is an Oak Hills High School graduate and University of Cincinnati alumna. Mrs. Frank worked as a legal secretary for ten years before choosing to explore a career as an educator and says the choice to return to school to become a teacher was an excellent choice for her.

When asked about her favorite part of teaching at DES, she responded, “I am thrilled to teach at Dillsboro Elementary School. The staff, students, and parents are wonderful and I feel blessed to get up every morning and spend the day with our DES students.” Mrs. Frank says that she has enjoyed getting to know the South Dearborn Community School Corporation staff and community.

Mrs. Frank says that her favorite subject in school has always been reading. “I was a struggling reader until I was lucky enough to get Mrs. Wilson at Westwood Elementary in 4th grade. She was just what I needed as a reader, and by the end of the year I was enjoying reading and have ever since.” Now, as a teacher, she enjoys sharing her favorite authors with the students in her class. “I feel like I tell my kiddos just about every day, ‘I love this book’ but it’s true. There are so many great stories for children that it is hard to choose just one.” Some of Mrs. Frank’s favorite authors are Jan Bret, Laura Numeroff, and Max Lucado.

Mrs. Frank, who celebrates her 26th wedding anniversary in May, has three sons, three cats, two dogs, and a bird. In her free time she enjoys reading, scrapbooking, camping with her family, and travelling with friends.
