Lisa Snell is a graduate of Milford High School in Milford, Ohio and went on to receive her master’s degree at Indiana Wesleyan University. Starting out in architecture, Ms. Snell said she finally decided to go into teaching because she loved helping others achieve success, especially children.
Having been employed at South Dearborn for the majority of her teaching career, Ms. Snell currently teaches at Moores Hill Elementary where she teaches 5th and 6th grade language arts and history.
Outside of work, Ms. Snell enjoys traveling to Churchill and Manitoba, Canada to see the polar bears in the wild, as well as reaching back to her architectural roots to build structures around her home. Along with her adventurous side, she says her favorite thing to do is spend time with her many rescue animals, all of which she calls family.
In her first year at Moores Hill Elementary, Ms. Snell is quickly becoming one of the most active members of both the school and the community. She has already taken on the role of Newspaper Club sponsor and Tech Club sponsor, two very exciting programs for 5th and 6th grade students. Through these clubs, students are able to voice their opinions and share what’s going on at the school, something Ms. Snell enjoys being a part of.
Ms. Snell said it’s no secret that this school and community have been like a family to her. With smiling kids leaving the classroom on their way to lunch and happy coworkers in the rooms next door, Ms. Snell has found her fit with Moores Hill Elementary.
