Ms. Amy Barber attended South Dearborn Community Schools throughout her primary and secondary education. She first attended Manchester Elementary School and then continued on to South Dearborn High School where she played volleyball, ran track, and played basketball. She graduated at the top of her class in 1990 and was a member of the National Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She credits striving for good grades and playing sports throughout high school with helping to carry her through a successful college career and into her profession.

Ms. Barber attended Wright State University on a basketball scholarship, graduating in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. She then earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati and has enjoyed a successful career as a pharmacist with the Kroger Company for the past 18 years.

She says SDHS prepared her for college and her professional career with its rigorous academic and sports programs. To her, South Dearborn schools are a competitive choice when deciding on a school to attend because the district continues to evolve by implementing college credit courses, updating the facilities, adding technological advancements, and providing numerous extracurricular activities. These improvements, along with dedicated teachers and coaches, are what make South Dearborn schools a great choice.
