With leadership from Superintendent Mr. Eric Lows, the South Dearborn Community School Corporation educators are energized to continue raising the bar in education. Meet Principal Cheek
Jason Cheek was raised in Aurora, IN, and graduated from South Dearborn High School in 1989. Mr. Cheek attended Northern Kentucky University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education. Furthering his education, Cheek attended graduate school through Ball State University, and earned a Master's Degree in Educational Administration.
Mr. Cheek began his career as a Physical Education and Health teacher at South Dearborn High School, and moved in the high school Associate Principal position in 2007 after ten successful years in the classroom. Mr. Cheek also served as the SDHS Interim Principal in the 2012-2013 school year. Along with the classroom and administrative positions, he coached baseball, football, and basketball at SDHS during his seventeen year career with the corporation.
Mr. Cheek is married to Kristie Cheek, SDCSC speech and language pathologist. They are the parents of Carson, 8, and Cameron, 6. Mr. Cheek states, "I am excited to continue serving the great people of our community and school corporation at South Dearborn Middle School."

Andrea Marine grew up and graduated from Lawrenceburg High School. She attended the College of Mt. St. Joseph and received both a Bachelor of Arts Major -Management, Minor - English, and a Masters Degree in Education from that institution. Additionally, she received a special education license in emotionally handicapped from Ball State University, and licensure in Supervision and Administration from Ball State as well.
Andrea taught special education at Manchester School and also at the "old" Aurora Middle School before moving into administration in 1998 at the then "new" South Dearborn Middle School as the buildings athletic director. In 2003, she was appointed the buildings associate principal. When the current "new" South Dearborn Middle School was built in 2006, she moved her office to that building, keeping the position as associate principal.
Andrea is married to Joe, and has one son, Devon, and three grandchildren, Dawson, 7, Isla, 4, and Elin 1.
