Life at Manchester
Exciting. Engaging. Energizing. Educational. Just a few ways our students describe a typical day at Manchester Elementary. Students thrive in our small town, community-based culture located within a safe, secure and beautiful campus. It's within this setting that our experienced & dedicated teachers strive to cultivate a love of learning at an early age.
We believe that our parents and students deserve access to resources that will help them get the most of our their school experience. With that in mind, South Dearborn schools cover a portion of every student's textbook fees. We're happy to hear that you're interested in learning more about our school!

Review Our Testimonials
"Hi Mrs. Platt~ I wanted to let you know that as a parent, I appreciate Manchester Elementary's "College Days" and the commitment for being College Bound. I want you to know that these days do in fact inspire my children to talk about colleges, whether it be the colleges that their teachers attended or the college they want to attend... Kylee and I were even looking up costs for veterinary schools last week. This was after she did a little research on top ranked veterinary schools in the United States. Kudos to you and your teachers for being so awesome! Thank you for all you do to get Manchester kids ready for college!!Have a great day!"
"Three of my children attend MES and they love the school and the teachers. The “College Bound” program that they started this year has been a big hit. I love seeing my kids excited about not only school but about attending college as well." - Manchester Elementary Parent
"Just wanted to tell you that MES kids were very well represented last night at the 8th grade graduation. More than half of the awards given were MES kids :) I was one proud mom but think it’s nice for you to know and pass on to your staff that you guys are doing an amazing job by planting that seed in the Elem level. I am so glad we moved to Manchester and my kids both got to attend there." - Manchester Elementary Parent
"My daughter has had two incredibly caring teachers so far. I've been so pleased with the progress she's made at Manchester Elementary. She is a well-behaved student and I absolutely love the 'positive' spin on discipline. Students earning special field trips for behaving properly in school, what a great incentive! A lot of schools get too busy dealing with misbehavior and forget to acknowledge the kids who are " doing the right thing" on a daily basis.
I also enjoy seeing the different university themes throughout the school. What a neat way of getting kids interested in education beyond graduation. My daughter has really been enthusiastic about the Tennessee Volunteers! She enjoyed learning their theme song and their mascot, etc. this year.
Working in an elementary school myself, I can say I was a bit nervous sending her to a small school rather than taking her to my school but I can honestly say I'm really glad she's at Manchester Elementary. She's had a great start to her school career thanks to the staff of MES. As a side note, about the small school atmosphere, I was really impressed with Mrs. March. She knows exactly who my child is, and is even able to tell me her bus number, off the top off her head, when I was unable to recall it. Thanks for all you've done for my child." - Manchester Elementary Parent
